Each civil celebrant is required to attend at least five hours of professional development each year in order to maintain their registration with the Attorney General’s Department. Today I attended a day of PD run by Australian Celebrations Training with the fantastic Canberra celebrant Judy Aulich.
It was a great chance to network with other celebrants, ask ‘silly’ questions, solve problems, even look at the way wedding parties arrange themselves for the ceremony and cover compulsory topics like overseas marriages and documentation.
